10 INTERSTING FACT ABOUT SEAHORSES.

1. Seahorses are a type of fish that are typically found in seagrass beds, mangrove roots, and coral reefs, in shallow temperate and tropical waters. Some species can also be found in estuaries.

2. Satomi's pygmy seahorse is the world's smallest seahorse at up to 1.4 cm.

3. Big-belly The largest size of a seahorse, sometimes referred to as a pot-bellied seahorse, is 35 cm.

4. Mysis shrimp and other small crustaceans are consumed by seahorses. A grownup eats 30 to 50 times per day. Incredibly, seahorse fry (baby seahorses) consume 3000 pieces of food per day.

5. The Short Snouted Seahorse (Hippocampus Hippocampus) and the Spiny Seahorse (Hippocampus Guttulatus) are two species found around the British coast

 6. Seahorses can move their eyes independently on either side of their skull, and they have exceptional vision. As a result, they are able to look both forward and backward simultaneously.

7. Eelgrass beds are among the shallow weedy regions where seahorses can be found. To avoid bad weather in the winter, they migrate to deeper seas.
